Hedayat†(‬1903‮–‬1951â€) ‬was an Iranian writerâ€, ‬translator and intellectualâ€, ‬and one of the earliest Iranian writers to adopt literary modernism in their workâ€. ‬At the end of 1950â€, ‬Hedayat left Iran for Parisâ€. ‬There he committed suicide by gassing himself in a small rented apartmentâ€. ‬He is buried at the Père Lachaise Cemetery in Parisâ€.‬
The exhibition at Seyhoon Gallery
was the first event organized in
Tehran on the occasion of the
centenary of Sadeq Hedayat's
birthâ€, ‬and it attracted much public
attentionâ€. ‬The poster became very
popularâ€. ‬Majid Abbasi has used the
poster as the†"‬nick imageâ€" ‬on his
Facebook profileâ€.‬
